Michael James McGhee entered his eternal rest on June 3, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and deep devotion to his loved ones.

Born on October 6, 1980, Michael spent his life focusing on what mattered most to him—providing for his family and caring for his home. He was a dependable, hardworking man who found his greatest joy in ensuring his family was safe, supported, and loved. His strength, generosity, and unwavering commitment to those he cared for will forever be remembered.

Michael’s presence brought comfort and stability to everyone around him. He lived a life rooted in love, responsibility, and sacrifice, always putting the needs of his family before his own. His memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children: Jakyia York, Chancey Grier, Ja’Michael York, Makayla McGhee, and Amir McGhee.

He is also survived by his loving sisters and brothers: Dalores (Larry) Adkins, Letitia (Frank) McGhee, Ollie White, Jessie McGhee, and Ellis McGhee.

He shared a special bond with his favorite niece and nephew, Brandon White and Jamenia McGhee, along with a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Ella (Aurwin) White-Davis; his father, Jimmie Roger McGhee; his sister and brother, Rebecca McGhee and Jimmy McGhee; his niece, Jaqueline McGhee; and his nephew, DeAndre McGhee.

Though he is no longer with us in body, his love, guidance, and memory will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
